My love for being in the kitchen goes all the way back to when I was a child baking with my Granny, she has taught me much of what I know today. You’re probably wondering, “why cheesecake”? And it’s simple! I found a recipe for a pumpkin cheesecake in my Granny’s recipe book years ago. I had never made a cheesecake before and I was up for the challenge. I began baking cheesecakes for all of our family get togethers and potlucks at my previous job. Cheesecake became my favorite type of dessert to bake!

Fast forward to 2017, I was pregnant with my first baby and my husband and I decided it was best for us financially that I quit my job and stay home with our newborn. After a few months of being a stay at home mom, I began thinking of ways that I could make some extra money. April of 2018 came around, Easter was coming up and I thought, “Maybe I should make a post on Facebook to see if anyone wants to purchase a cheesecake for their Easter dessert”. So, I did just that and I got over 30 orders! I was shocked. Unfortunately, I got the flu and had to cancel all of those orders BUT I made the post again in May for Mothers Day and got even more order requests. From then on, I began receiving more and more order requests. I was baking cheesecakes for baby showers, birthday parties, a wedding and just for a lot of cheesecake lovers who wanted cheesecake! I became so busy that I needed more space, so It became my goal to get a food truck. I wanted to take my cheesecakes mobile where I could reach even more people! June of 2019, we met our second son! I was now a stay at home mom to two under the age of two, while running a full time business by myself out of my home. My goal never changed. Some called me crazy (for good reasoning) , I like to think that I am just determined and nothing was going to stop me. So, I baked my butt off!

April of 2020, I introduced the Cheesecake Trailer Southern Maryland’s FIRST and ONLY Cheesecake Trailer! And boy, did that trailer take off…

As of 2022, Morgan Salee’s Cheesecakes are sold in four local restaurants from La Plata to Leonardtown to Solomons. We have sold thousands and thousands of cheesecakes and we have added some deliciously unique cheesecake desserts to the menu.

The last few years have been like a dream come true. I can remember sitting down years ago and praying for this business that I have today If it weren’t for my amazing and loyal customers constantly sharing my content, supporting my small business and placing orders with me, this dream would have never come true.

I pray that one day I can serve you all delicious cheesecake from my cute little CheeseCakery storefront, but until then, I’ll see you at the Cheesecake Trailer
